Association Between Neck Circumference and Preeclampsia In Pregnant Women

The nutritional status of a person can be measured by neck circumference. This measurement uses tape measure that is looped around the just below larynx and perpendicular to length neck. parameters circumference used assess are > 34 cm in women with BMI 25 kg/m2 36.5 30 an accuracy rate 99%. Pregnant obesity at for complications such as gestational hypertension, preeclampsia, diabetes mellitus, more often undergo cesarean delivery due baby born prematurely. An observational study case-control design using cross-sectional approach was carried out measuring 130 pregnant age above 20 weeks which divided into 65 respondents preeclampsia without complications. research conducted on Tangerang Regency. chi-square test analyze data significant value 0.05. results Chi-Square obtained p-value 0.000 (p<0.05), indicating relationship between occurrence women. Contingency Coefficient 0.493 indicates impact 49.3%, while other factors influence 50.7%.
